The Topic: What HR Managers Should Understand about their CEOs.
CEO’s sometimes assume that their executives know—or should know— what they are thinking. More often than not, the HR Executive is left with a few words from the CEO, and the rest is up to him to decipher what the CEO wants and don’t.
For HR Executives, this is one huge challenge. Frequently, a hit and miss thing. But if one knows his/her CEO pretty much, and one does his/her HR homework really well, then the hurdle is less daunting.
This year’s CEO Forum as part of the People Management Association of the Philippines’ (PMAP) 11th Regional Conference unraveled the minds of the CEO’s, pick their thoughts on what they see as HR’s roles in the organization and how best can HR support them in bringing the organization towards the future he envisions.
The Conference was held on August 5 at the Marco Polo Hotel in Cebu City. More than 200 HR practitioners from Cebu attended the CEO Forum.
Jayjay Viray, Managing Director of JobsDB Philippines, Inc., was among the panelists. She complimented the HR community’s invaluable contribution to the recruitment industry by calling them "my army" in the selection of qualified candidates for hiring companies.
