The Daily Tribune |
| Less than six months after its first issue
came out in February 2000, the Daily Tribune had attracted
the attention of readers as indicated by its brisk daily
sales and fast growing circulation. With a concept based
on its slogan "Without fear or favor," the Tribune
proved "unignorable" as it showed to have successfully
caught the public's (and the public officials') eye. Tribune
publisher, president, and editor in chief Ms. Ninez Cacho-Olivares,
a well -known personality in mass media, decided to establish
her own daily after observing that the current crop of
dailies had become too conventional and traditional, too
sensational, boring in content, too interpretative and
too biased in their reportage of the news. |
